“Inside Out” will become a ready-made series

The spin-off series from the Oscar-winning animation will explore Riley’s dream production and will premiere in 2025 on Disney+

Pixar has confirmed the development of a spin-off series of the “Inside Out” films, titled “Dream Productions”. The series will explore the place where Riley’s dreams and nightmares are brewed in his mind, which is similar to a Hollywood studio.

Creator’s Statements

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pete Docter, creative director of Pixar Animation Studios, revealed that the series is already finished and is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2025. “We’re done. It’s coming out next spring [no hemisfério norte, de março a junho]. There’s no specific release date yet,” Docter said.

Exploring the power of dreams

The director explained that the series continues to explore the power of dreams and how they influence waking life. “In the first movie, remember how we went to Dream Production to see how Riley’s dreams came true? That partly explains why they’re so strange. We continue to explore the power of dreams and how they affect us in our waking lives too .So it’s really cool,” added Docter, who directed and wrote the first “Inside Out.”

Release of “Inside Out 2”

The sequel to the Pixar film, which won the Oscar for best animated film in 2016, premiered this Thursday (6/20) in Brazilian cinemas. “Inside Out 2” takes audiences back into the mind of Riley, who now faces new challenges as adolescence arrives — and the arrival of new emotions, especially anxiety.
