The new Samsung Q990D, Q930D, Q800D and S800D soundbars arrive in Brazil with Dolby Atmos technology and adaptive sound via artificial intelligence
A SAMSUNG launched, last Thursday (20th), three new ones soundbar: Q990D, Q930D, Q800D and S800D. The speakers promise to deliver cinematic sound at home technology Audio Dolby Atmos and are now available for purchase on the manufacturer’s website at prices starting from R$ 3,199.

Samsung S800D sound bar
The S800D model is Samsung’s simplest soundbar in 2024. It stands out for its ultra-thin design, less than 4cm thick. The subwoofer is also compact and fits into the room without problems.
On top of the speaker are two 3.1.2-channel speakers that allow the sound to move based on the content being viewed. The device also has advanced audio playback features, including:

- Automatic equalization;
- Anti-noise sonic intelligence;

Samsung Q800D sound bar
The Q800D soundbar is the entry-level model of the 2024 “Q” series. With more power than the S800D, the device offers 5.1.2 channels. In total, there are five front channels on the bar, including two on the side, plus two speakers at the top, as well as an eight-inch subwoofer for bass reinforcement.
This version also includes all of Samsung’s advanced playback and connectivity features, plus:
- Technologies present in the Samsung S800D;
- Apple AirPlay.
Samsung Q930D Soundbar
The Samsung Q930D is very similar to the Q800D. However, it has even more channels for playing audio in various directions.
The product has 9.1.4 channels, with nine front and surround channels on the soundbar, one subwoofer channel and four top fire channels that propagate sound in three directions. The 4.0.2-channel wireless rear speakers feature front and top firing.

In terms of technologies, all the above-mentioned features are also present in this soundbar.
Samsung Q990D sound bar
The highlight among the new Samsung soundbars is the Q990D. Being the most complete model, the equipment has 11.1.4 channels, with 4-channel wireless rear speakers and 8-inch Wi-Fi subwoofer.
Through the HDMI eARC connection, the soundbar supports 4K and 120 Hz content. However, it is also possible to connect the device to the TV wirelessly, via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The Wireless Dolby Atmos standard is also present here, which promises to simulate the audio experience of the cinema in the living room.
It’s worth mentioning that the AI āāSpaceFit Sound Pro found in all models ā including the Samsung Q990D ā automatically calibrates the sound based on the environment. Game Pro mode improves audio playback in games.
Prices and availability of Samsung soundbars
Samsung’s new soundbars are available for purchase directly on the manufacturer’s website. You can also find them on sale in the main stores in Brazil.
Starting at R$3,199, the four models have the following suggested prices:
- S800D Sound Bar: R$3,199;
- Q800D Sound Bar: R$3,599;
- Q930D Sound Bar: R$5,299;
