The company confirmed that the Brazilian market is part of its international expansion plan. In addition to Brazil, Polestar will soon also arrive in Thailand and in the European centers where Volvo currently operates: Slovakia, France, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, made the announcement during a presentation to the company’s shareholders. On the occasion he revealed that Polestar’s expansion plan towards new markets, including Brazil, will be based on the brand’s alliance with new partners:
“Expanding our retail operations with new and existing partners will allow us to reach more customers. Through these partnerships and expansion, we will capitalize strongly on our brand and have a growing range of models”

What cars will Polestar have in Brazil?
Executives at Volvo’s “chic sister” haven’t yet revealed which cars the brand plans to launch in Brazil, but one of the most likely to arrive here is the Polestar 4, a luxury electric SUV coupe that began production in China eventually of 2023 and recently launched in Australia.
“The introduction of the Polestar 4 in all our markets during 2024 is the key to our success,” commented Ingenlath, suggesting that the SUV coupe is one of the bets for the global expansion of the brand.
One of the main innovations that Polestar will bring to Brazil, however, concerns the way in which they will be sold. According to the brand, the idea is to carry out the entire purchasing process online, including the customization of the chosen car.

It was unclear, however, whether there would be cars displayed in physical stores from Volvo, Polestar’s likely “local partner” in Brazil, so that interested customers could learn about the model before actually making the purchase online.
