The new Honor Play 60 Plus has a huge LCD screen, base processor, up to 12 GB of RAM and 50 MP main camera
A Honor announced another smartphone in China. This Monday (24th), the HonorPlay 60 Plus was launched there bringing basic configurations and a focus on the 6,000 mAh battery. It will cost around R$1,000.
- Honor Magic V Flip comes with the largest external screen in a foldable “flip”.
- Honor MagicBook Pro 16 arrives with Intel Core Ultra and 165 Hz screen
The Honor Play 60 Plus is part of the brand’s entry-level line, so it features a 6.77-inch HD+ screen, LCD panel and 120 Hz refresh rate. The bezels around the screen seem thick, but the camera 5 MP front has a punch-role format.
Speaking of cameras, the Play 60 Plus only features a 50MP main sensor, accompanied by a 2MP sensor for depth concepts. The maximum shooting resolution is Full HD at 30 frames per second (fps).
Internally the device attracts a lot of attention: it comes with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip with 12 GB of memory RAM and up to 512 GB of internal memory. However, you can increase the RAM by another 8 GB with RAM Boost.
The battery is 6,000 mAh, a very respectable capacity for the category, with 35 W charging. Another strong point is the construction, as it has IP64 for water and dust resistance, in addition to the certification dedicated to falls and scratches.
Price and availability
The Honor Play 60 Plus will initially be sold only in China in two options: 12/256 GB for 1,499 Yuan (R$ 1,116.40); and 12/512 GB for 1,699 Yuan (R$1,265.35). Color options are: Phantom Night Black, Moon Shadow White, and Wonderland Green.
