Did ‘Queen Charlotte’ Reynolds Appear In ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3?
Although they had to wait two years between each season of “Bridgerton,” in May 2023, fans of this fictional world received a surprise: the premiere of the “spin-off” “Queen Charlotte.”
While the miniseries focuses on the love story of Queen Charlotte and King George, it also features the romance between their butlers, Brimsley and Reynolds.
This second plot left an unresolved question: what happened to Reynolds? After the premiere of “Bridgerton” Season 3, fans seem to have an idea.
It all happens in the final episode of the installment, when the monarch reveals who Lady Whistledown is and Penelope is forced to confront her actions in front of society.
One detail that went unnoticed by most was one of the queen’s companions. Although it is not shown in detail, in some shots you can see that this is a tall man with blond hair.
Those few glimpses were enough for some fans to wonder if it was Reynolds, King George’s faithful companion, since he has many physical characteristics. Additionally, said guardian is placed on the pillar next to Brimsley.
On social networks, hundreds of followers of the Netflix series expressed their impressions of it. On the one hand, many found the resemblance to the young version, but, on the other hand, others point out that it could not be Reynolds, since he wears a different outfit than Brimsley and that the butler stayed at the king’s side.

What happened to Reynolds from ‘Queen Charlotte’?
As mentioned earlier, this is one of the biggest mysteries left by the miniseries. Towards the end of the story, Brismley is barely shown dancing alone, in the spot he previously shared with Reynolds. At no point is it explained why they are no longer together.
Actor Hugh Sachs, who plays the grown-up version of Queen Charlotte’s butler, seems to have an answer.
In May 2023, she revealed to Vulture that there was originally a scene in Queen Charlotte that featured Reynolds as an adult, but it was deleted: “He (Reynolds) was the love of his (Brimsley’s) life and for some reason, they could not stay together. So when they passed each other in the hallway in the deleted scene, it wasn’t a toxic moment. Because of the world they inhabited, being gay was still a crime you could hang for, and it just wasn’t possible.”
