It’s hard not to think of that ’70s show when we think of the most iconic sitcoms of the 2000s. It also left its mark on the minds of the viewers of that time.
The program made it possible to introduce Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace to the general public. But also given a role that matches their talent Kurtwood Smith (A character actor B Series Specialist) and Debra Jo Rupp (an iconic face of the small screen) as Mr. and Mrs. Forman.
A continuation in the tradition of the iconic sitcom
As its title suggests, That ’70s Show is a series set in the mid-’70s, although the series was filmed in the late ’90s. The presence of these young upstart hippies greatly annoys Mr. Foreman, a stern and authoritarian veteran soldier.
As proof that the series has some popularity, an official sequel was released fifteen years after the finale titled… That 90’s Show. The characters of the sitcom have already become adults, and their children, in turn, drive Red Forman crazy, and his wife Kitty, in turn, is still a mother hen to the teenagers who hang out in her basement.
The first spin-off saw the light of day, but nobody remembers it!
The recipe is almost identical, but the pleasure is still there. This Netflix-produced sequel, which fails to offer anything original, offers a satisfying conclusion for early fans, but also a series that evokes a distant and ancestral period (sic) for the new generation.
A successful return, as the series has been offered by Netflix for a second season, which will be discovered this Thursday, June 27. A fine revenge, which also erases the failure suffered by the spin-off That ’80s Show (2002), which was canceled after only 13 episodes and is now forgotten by all.
Season 2 of this 90s sitcom show is now available exclusively on Netflix.
