After the victory, Lyncon celebrates his first goal with Vasco: ‘Very happy to score with this shirt’

Vasco defeated Internacional 2-1, in Beira-Rio. The scorer of the second goal, the young defender Lyncon stressed the importance of scoring his first goal in the Cruzmaltina jersey.

This Sunday, Vasco defeated Internacional 2-1 in Porto Alegre, while Colorado fans returned to Beira-Rio. Cruzmaltino opened the scoring with Adson, in the 15th minute of the second half. The score was increased by young defender Lyncon, who took advantage of a rebound from Fabrício and headed the ball into the back of the net. The Gauchos dropped with Bustos, at 34.

With this result, Gigante da Colina achieved its fifth victory in the Brasileirão and is approaching the top of the table, with 17 points won. After the final whistle, the author of the second goal expressed his joy at scoring for the first time wearing the Vasco jersey.

— I don’t even know how to express what I feel. This goal is for the fans, for my family, my parents, my girlfriend, who are always with me in difficult moments. I’m very happy to score with this shirt. I’ve been at the club since I was 10 years old. I’ve always dedicated myself and this has been my home for a long time. It’s an indescribable feeling to score a goal with this shirt. – said the player.

The 19-year-old defender had already been called up for another match in the Brazilian championship, in the defeat against Palmeiras, on June 13. Today’s match was, instead, Lyncon’s debut in the professional team of Vasco. He celebrated the result, but stressed the importance of carrying on the work well: “I will celebrate a lot with the family. But we have to focus on the next match on Wednesday against Corinthians,” he added.

In the 16th round, Vasco faces Corinthians, in São Januário. After their second consecutive victory in the league, Rafael Paiva’s team is significantly further away from Z-4. At the moment, Cruzmaltino is five points away from 17th place, next Wednesday’s opponent.
