The new Captain America movie will hit theaters early next year. Expectations are already high and are only getting higher after the release of the film’s first trailer. The images reveal new threats, including Red Hulk.
The film is the hero’s first solo film since then Captain America Civil Warreleased in 2016. The film was originally scheduled for theatrical release on July 26, 2024, a date that is now occupied by Deadpool 3The date change was announced by Disney shortly after the end of the Hollywood Actors Union strike, which paralyzed operations for more than 110 days.
Directed by Julius Onah, the film will serve as a direct sequel to the series Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The production aired in 2021 and shows the reconciliation between Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes). In the plot, they must join forces and overcome their differences to save the planet.
Tim Blake Nelson (the villain The Leader) and Liv Tyler (Betty Ross), both from The Incredible Hulk (2008), will return to the cast for Captain America: Brave New World. The screenplay is by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. It is scheduled for release on February 14, 2025.
