Bill Paxton died at the age of 61, on February 25, 2017, due to complications after a heart procedure. During an interview with Entertainment Weeklythe actor’s son spoke about his brief appearance in Twisterswhich arrived in Brazilian theaters on July 11, 2024, as a “disgruntled hotel guest.”
“It’s actually a cameo, so it’s a Easter egg for my father’s fans and [filme] original. I made this one for my dad,” he said. Then, James took the opportunity to comment on the emotional weight that the role brought.
“It took me a little bit of time to process it, just given the context of my dad and his significance in the original and him not being here,” he said. “It’s an emotional thing. It wasn’t something I could decide right away. It took me a little bit of time just to process, just the magnitude of it.”
