The daughter-in-lawa feature film written and directed by Sean Bakerin Tangerine (2015), Florida Project (2017) and Red Rocket (2021), which was the big winner at the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, got its first trailer this Monday (15).
What is Anora’s story?
The film, which premieres in North American theaters on October 18th this year, tells the story of Ani (Mikey Madison, Panic), a stripper in Las Vegas, who ends up falling madly in love with the son of a Russian oligarch.
Yura Borisov (The Soviet Captain), Alexey Serebryakov (Anonymous), Ivy Wolf (The Bubble), Lindsey Normington (The Idol) It is Karren Karagulian (Red Rocket) are also in the cast of the new feature. Watch the trailer:
Featured at the Cannes Film Festival
Still without a release date in Brazilian cinemas, The daughter-in-law was featured at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The film beat out major productions such as Types of Kindnessin Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Creatures); Megalopolisin Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather); It is Motel Destinoin Karim Ainouz (The Invisible Life), among others, and won the Palme d’Or, the highest honor of the French film festival.
