According to reports, Fluminense intends to invest $2.2 million (R$12 million) to sign the 27-year-old defender. The negotiation began last week with a loan attempt, but the Peruvian team only wants to sell. The defender, in fact, appreciated Fluminense’s salary proposal, and now the clubs are discussing the value of the transfer.

In Brazilian football, Ignácio played in Serie A with Chapecoense, in 2021, and one match with Bahia, where he played in Serie B, in 2022. Negotiated with Sporting Cristal at the request of Tiago Nunes, he has become a reference in Peruvian football in the last two seasons.

For now, Fluminense has already signed defender Thiago Silva and has agreed to take on loan Nonato, who belongs to Santos. Striker Kevin Serna has also signed and will arrive in Rio this Tuesday. In addition to them, Flu is negotiating with Uruguayan midfielder Facundo Bernal, from Defensor-URU.
