to remember
no one On the contrary 2neither The Count of Monte Cristoneither A little too much Come first this week at the French box office! The reason: the arrival of a new movie called Despicable Me !
The 4th film in the franchise (which also includes two Minions spin-offs) is off to a flying start, in line with previous operations, with 1.4 million already in attendance. That’s better than the first installment released in 2010, and almost equals Episode 2. Only Episode 3 posted a higher first-week score, with a total of 1.9M.
The Count of Monte Cristo outwits the Three Musketeers
In the 2nd position we find The Count of Monte Cristo, which this week surpasses Vice-Versa 2. With a total that now exceeds 3 million, the film directed by Pierre Nin is already ahead of The Three Musketeers Millet (2.5 million admissions) and D’Artagnan (3.4 million admissions).
As the producer Dimitri Rasam told us recently because of the very good start of the play The Count of Monte Cristo in French theaters, “I assumed so, therefore I say: I want to do more than d’Artagnan.” This goal has already been achieved!
Faced with strong competition from Despicable Me 4 , Vice-Versa 2 lost viewers a month after its release, but there can be enthusiasm for passing 6 million.
Will it go so far as to displace Ratatouille (7,860,899 admissions) and Finding Nemo (9,439,076) to break the studio record?
A little too much continues its good momentum and now exceeds 9 million. Artus’ film soon overtakes Le Dîner de cons (9,247,001 tickets pulled in 1998) and is closer to What Have We Done to the Good Lord? and its 12,367,064 viewers.
Two more new features in the rating
5 in the rest of the rating – Without sound – Day 1 is 5th and has 740382 entries. This is the best score of the entire saga without sound. The first film in the horror franchise with 656,444 at the end of its career. Kevin Costner’s Western horizon Still struggling, 2nd week total 193,015 entries.
In addition to Despicable Me 4, two new releases made the weekly top 10. This is Long legs (7th, with 69,851 entries) and on the moon (8th, with 60,663 records).
