Warning, spoilers. The following paragraphs reveal plot elements from the final episode of Star Wars: The Acolyte.
The Acolyte, which airs June 4 on Disney+, is wrapping up with the online release of its eighth and final episode. This new Star Wars series, created and produced by Leslie Headland (Russian Doll), was not universally received by fans and was even mistreated by some sections of the public.
However, it was able to create a conversation on social networks, because this fiction explores a period that has certainly been explored in the novels of Legends, but which has never been exploited on screen: the era of the High Republic, during which the Jedi Order was at its peak. And prosperity reigned.
Still, The Acolyte focuses on a tipping point in the balance as Jedi Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) investigates a dangerous warrior who kills a Jedi. He discovers that it’s May, the long-lost twin sister of his former Padawan Osha (Amandla Stenberg), whom he took under his wing after her home was destroyed by a wizarding society.
The Jedi Master also learns that May was trained by a Sith named Kimiri or the Unknown (Manny Jacinto), who is a former Jedi who turned to the dark side of the Force and seeks revenge. But the last episodes and especially the finale make us believe that the plot is not so binary and some truths have been revealed.
These 2 key appearances in the latest episode of ‘The Acolyte’ will delight fans
The latest episode of Star Wars: The Acolyte takes place mainly on Brandok, Osha and May’s home planet. Master Sol and the Stranger engage in a lightsaber battle and are joined by Osha and Mei. Sol admits to killing the girls’ mother (the one who created them using the Force and influence) and answers his responsibility in the Jedi’s massacre of the wizarding community.
While May wants to bring Sol to the Jedi Order and Senate to answer for her crimes, Osha, upset by this revelation and this betrayal, uses the Force to strangle and kill her. His anger and power transforms the blue cyber crystal from Sol’s lightsaber that he collected, causing it to turn red. Osha turned to the dark side.
He agrees to become an apprentice to the Stranger so that his sister May (who is actually a part of him because they are one) can leave free without the Sith erasing her memory early so they can’t find her. The stranger and Osha, as master and apprentice, set out for their own destiny.
In turn, May is interrogated by Jedi Master Vernestra (Rebecca Henderson), who has lied to members of the Senate that Sol was a renegade Jedi who killed his former accomplices and that he killed himself as a cover-up. case and will protect the Jedi Order from investigation and questioning by the Senate with full powers.
He also tries to get hold of a stranger who was his former apprentice. And it is with a character well known to Star Wars fans that he wants to talk: the famous master Yoda. The appearance of the famous Jedi clearly resonated with fans on social networks.
But that’s not the only character that caught their attention, as his villainous counterpart was also seen in the 12th minute of the episode on a planet inhabited by an alien, and many fans think it’s Darth Plagueis, Palpatine’s master. The latter mentioned it in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith to Anakin Skywalker when he discussed his knowledge of immortality.

If the final episode of The Acolyte brings some resolution and answers many questions, it still leaves a huge door open for a second season, and even more so with the appearance of these two main characters.
episode #Acolyte It was unbelievable!!
The death of Sol, Darth Plagueis, Yoda, the fight… probably the best episode of the series with episode 5, it was glorious 💫
Now we want a second season @Star Wars @DisneyPlusFR 🙏 pic.twitter.com/Fac2gDLHBF

#Acolyte If the series isn’t perfect, it has the merit of being the series that tells the biggest stories (especially for those who have just seen the 6 movies). Between the crazy cameras, the reveal, the explanations, it’s generous!!!

however #Acolyte Shut up all these morons who cry inconsistency until they’ve seen the whole series. Really, Star Wars fans, we don’t give ourselves any credit

An episode of The Acolyte in line with the rest of the series, if you liked it, you’ll enjoy it all the way through, but otherwise…
The mystery is gradually becoming clearer, there are many paths to a possible S2, but with the very mixed response from fans, will we be allowed to? I hope… pic.twitter.com/KtiOzpk7bs

Plagueis first appearance live.
Therefore we can assume that he is the master of Chimir, that he also created Osha and May
And that we are indeed on Bal’demnic #Star Wars #Acolyte #Plague pic.twitter.com/gS6QoXsOGK— zeus_vorace6165 (@Gabinho010) July 17, 2024
“Have you ever heard of Darth Plaguey’s Tragedy of the Sage? I didn’t think so. It’s not a story a Jedi tells you. It’s a Sith legend.” pic.twitter.com/hxw72ByoN6

Internet users sometimes confuse the series, but they love the answers to the gray areas of the saga and the exploration of the myths and legends of this rich expanded universe. Which explains the growing desire to see The Acolyte renewed for a second season, which still has a lot to say. We have to wait for the announcement of Lucasfilm and Disney.
All eight episodes of Star Wars: Episode VII are available on Disney+.
