Netflix: This series was supposed to be released for 4 years, but no one knows where the 52 episodes are!

The creator of the original Micronauts game series has revealed he doesn’t know what happened to the show since it ended more than four years ago and is demanding answers from Hasbro.

In response to a tweet that asked “Which canceled project would you like to see?“, Eric Rogers wrote:Micronauts. 52 fully produced half-hours. I was the co-creator/EP/writer. Ask Hasbro what they did because no one there will tell me. We finished the last episode in January 2020.”

When the user replied and asked to clarify what he meant by “fully manufacturedRogers explained:Everything is finished, loaded and ready to go from January 2020.

Eric Rogerswho is also the creator of Angry Birds and Skylanders Academy, has written for other animated series such as Futurama and Teen Titans Go!.

He added: “I just want someone at Hasbro to tell me what the plan is. It’s been almost 5 years since we graduated. Tell me to put it aside. That it is tax deductible. That you lost it on the train like the Beastie Boys in Hot Sauce Committee Pt 1. But… nothing? Yeah… no.

What are micronauts?

Micronauts were born in the 70s as (you guessed it) small action figures, about 7cm tall. Several comic book series based on these characters have also been published over the years, including by Marvel Comics and Image Comics.

Boulder Media, then a subsidiary of Hasbro Studios, began development of the animated series Micronauts (in English) in 2018. However, Entertainment One took over Hasbro’s production wing in 2020 before it was sold to Lionsgate in 2023 – and there’s still no news on the project.

The Micronauts animated series has been over for years now, and Hasbro refuses to let it go.

• 52 episodes

• Fully animated

• The last episode ended in January 2020

• The makers were never informed why the series would not be released

“I think they have Batgirl’s fate in store for us.”

Following the success of Barbie, other film adaptations of the toy are expected, including a feature film centered around Matchbox cars in development at Skydance and Mattel Films. The feature film, which does not yet have a release date, will be directed by Sam Hargrave, who signed on to star in the Tyler Rake saga alongside Chris Hemsworth, whose third installment is due to hit Netflix soon.

In the meantime, we cannot recommend a platform to watch the Micronauts series because no one knows where it is!
