Batman: Christian Bale Had ‘Thousands Of People Laughing’ At Him When He Announced He’d Play The Hero

Christian Bale said he wasn’t taken seriously when he said he wanted to make a different version of Batman

Christian Bale recalled when he was not taken seriously when he told that he would play the Batman. In an interview with The Washington Post, the actor said they even laughed at him when he announced the news. (via people)

“I told people we were going to film Batmanbut I wanted a serious version of it,” said Ballet. “I’ve had thousands of people laughing at me and saying, ‘Well, that’s not really going to work’.”

Ballet interpreted Batman in the trilogy that began with Batman Beginsin 2005, and ended with The dark Knight Risesin 2012. The films were directed by Christopher Nolan and grossed over $2.5 billion at the global box office, in addition to Heath Ledger a Oscar posthumous for his role as joker in the 2008 film.

“It’s wonderful to be part of a trilogy that proved these people wrong. Not sure if it kicked off [para o Universo Cinematográfico da Marvel]but it certainly helped along the way,” said the actor, who now lives capvillain of Thor: Love and Thunder (2022).

The fusion was perfect, because the character had a lot of hatred inside him, either for the problems he lived through or for the gods.

From then on, cap started going after gods to kill them with all the power provided by the necrosword – until defeated and killed by Thor. However, like most times in the comics, the villain was resurrected and appeared other times.
