Ukrainian’s debut documentary Mstyslav Chernov, 20 Days in Mariupol portrays the twenty days that the filmmaker spent with his fellow journalists in the siege of Mariupol after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in the first months of 2022. Watch the trailer below:

Previously only available for purchase and rental on different digital platforms, 20 Days in Mariupol — who got the better of Kill a Tiger (2022), Bobi Wine: The People’s President (2022), The 4 Daughters of Olfa (2023) and The Infinite Memory (2023) at the 2024 Oscars — is available on Netflix, at no additional cost to subscribers of the streaming service.
