In the last few days, a new version of Un P’tit truc en plus has appeared in cinemas that have chosen to broadcast the enhanced version of the Artus comedy. This version is enriched by the composition added during the end credits, offering 12 minutes of never-before-seen footage. These are documentary images (a longer version is also planned for 2025), not cut scenes from the film.

Are there any cut scenes?
Are there scenes cut from the movie? We asked Artus a question, specifically to find out if they considered certain scenes to be humorous.
A joke, even effective, even funny, should serve the film
“There are things that I cut to give the film a rhythm. But not censorship. Or because the valve was loose at the time. A joke, even if it’s effective, even if it’s funny, should serve the film, not slow it down. So it’s more of a montage of narrative choices, efficiency.
But I decided on more scenes where there weren’t jokes being told that explained the relationship between me and Clovis, the moment I let Clovis go, all of that. I think we understand the relationship. I prefer when we don’t do it verbally.”
It is always more beautiful when seen at first glance
“Then we put it in for the script, because it calms the producers, it calms everyone, and otherwise we don’t understand the story. I’ve stripped it all down, which is sometimes a bit pathetic. I think you have to trust the audience. He is not us! The relationship is clear. The same applies to the relationship with Alice. It’s always nicer when she meets your gaze than when she says: You know, I’ve liked you for a long time!

The ending of the movie could have been slightly different. Artus was indeed planning a scene in which we would see the real Sylvain character again, but the director ultimately preferred to end the narrative with a touch of emotion that closes the film and therefore did without this humorous sequence.
DVD and Blu-ray release in September?
The DVD of the film should be released in September. Maybe there will be deleted scenes? According to information on Amazon and the DVDfr site, it will be available from September 11, 2024 and is already available for pre-order.
Undoubtedly, the 2024 cinema phenomenon Un P’tit truc en plus continues to unite large audiences in theatres. The film crossed the 9 million mark by a large margin. 10 million records will be reached.
If you haven’t seen the movie yet, other than that, Little Things is just a sunny and touching comedy. It follows in the footsteps of a film like The Eighth Day and finds a balance between humor, emotion and above all the great kindness that can raise awareness.
