Despicable Me 4 is a box office success in Brazil

Chris Renaud, one of the creators of Minions, suggested that the franchise could continue with more films

The film Despicable Me 4released on July 4, has already grossed over R$111 million at the box office, attracting more than five million viewers in less than a month. The plot follows Gru, now a family man, trying to protect his wife Lucy and his children with the help of the Minions.

Chris Renaudone of the creators of the minionssuggested that the franchise could continue with more films, comparing its narrative flexibility to that of series like James Bond and The Simpsons.

In the Brazilian dubbing cast of the animation, Leandro Hassum reprises the role of Gru, with Maria Clara Gueiros like Lucy and Lorena Queiroz as Poppy, a new aspiring villain. The film is directed by Chris Renaudwith production of Chris Meledandri and Brett Hoffmanand co-direction of PatrickDelay.

In this sequel, the most beloved villain on the planet, who became an agent of the Anti-Villain League, returns for another adventure in Despicable Me 4. Now, Gru (Leandro Hassum), Lucy (Maria Clara Gueiros), Margo (Bruna Laynes), Edith (Ana Elena Bittencourt) and Agnes (Pamella Rodrigues) welcome a new member to the family: Gru Jr., who intends to torment his father. While adapting to the little one, Gru faces a new enemy, Maxime Le Mal (Jorge Lucas) who has just escaped from prison and now threatens everyone’s safety, forcing his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (AngĂ©lica Borges) and the family to flee from danger. In another city, the girls try to adapt to the new school and Valentina encourages Gru to try to live a simpler life, far from the dangerous adventures he has been on for most of his life. In the meantime, they also meet Poppy (Lorena Queiroz), a surprising aspiring villain, and the minions give the missing touch to this new phase.
