Dragon Age: The Veilguard has more dialogue than Inquisition

The game has 140,000 lines of dialogue involving 700 characters

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be the most spoken BioWare game to date, with 140,000 lines of dialogue included. That’s significantly more than the 88,000 lines of dialogue Dragon Age: Inquisition held until then.

“It takes a long time to record 700 characters – 80 thousand lines or 140 thousand lines with all the Towers”said Dragon Age: The Veilguard creative director John Epler GamesRadar (through Eurogamer), when asked why the game took so long to make. “It just takes time to get good.”

BioWare has said that the casting for Veilguard began five years ago, with casting closed at this time. “The team, the talent has been there for five years”added Epler.

Veilguard will have four voice options for protagonist Rook, just like Inquisition. One of them is Alex Jordan, who played Mr. Hands in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released later this year for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
