The Crow, Alien, Stomach 2 and more films to hit theaters in August 2024

August promises to be a busy (and diverse) month for movie theaters, with long-awaited international releases hitting the big screen, as well as remakes, sequels, and major domestic titles debuting across the country.

Among the horror highlights of the period are the films Alien: Romulusdirected by Fede Alvarez, who arrives in theaters bringing an independent chapter of the series Alienand the feature film Deadly Bondwhich has caused a huge stir since its debut in the United States and has captured the attention of critics and audiences.

The film will also be released in Brazilian cinemas in August Types of Kindnessnew production by Yorgos Lanthimos with Emma Stone; It is The Ravenremake of the classic 1994 film, now starring Bill Skarsgård.

To round out the main releases of the period, August also sees the debut of Stomach 2 – The Mighty Chefa national sequence that sees again the actor João Miguel in the role of Raimundo Nonato; It is Destination Motelfilm by Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz, in competition for the Palme d’Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
