The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world and focuses on the last 10,000 people on Earth. However, the latter live in a 144-story, mile-and-a-half-deep silo that protects them from the toxic outside world. Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible, Dune) stars as Juliet Nichols, an engineer turned sheriff who aims to solve the mystery of this underground life.

At the end of the first season, Juliet’s character discovers that there are other silos. “One plot follows Juliet in this second silo and another plot follows her back to her silo.The creator explains. He knows what could happen and wonders if he can do anything to help them and prevent such a tragedy. This is where things get very, very dangerous.”
