Actors who played more than one character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

During San Diego Comic-Con 2024, it was announced that Robert Downey Jr., Iron Man, will return to the franchise as the villain Doctor Doom.

Last Saturday (27), during the Marvel Cinematic Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, it was announced that Robert Downey Jr.who lived the Iron Man for two decades, will return to the franchise as Victor von Doombetter known as Doctor Doomclassic villain of the stories of Fantastic Four.

Although, Downey Jr. is not the first to play two characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Over the course of more than twenty years of existence, many actors and actresses have appeared in the franchise more than once. Below, check out a list of the main highlights:


Paul Bettany

Some say that the transition from Paul Bettany of Jarvis to Vision is just an evolution of the same character, but the truth is that, before embodying the android, the actor was just the voice behind the artificial intelligence of Tony Stark and had never appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
