Russo Brothers to Receive $80 Million to Direct New Avengers

The brothers Anthony and Joe Russowho drove Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019), are back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and their return will cost Disney a lot of money.

According to information from Varietythe filmmakers — also responsible for Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Captain America: Civil War (2016) — received $80 million for directing Avengers: Doomsday (Avengers: Apocalypsein free translation) and Avengers: Secret Wars (Avengers: Secret Wars), new films from Avengers.

Furthermore, if the productions perform between US$750 million and US$1 billion at the box office, at least, the Russo brothers should still receive a bonus for the financial success of the films, which will include the return of Robert Downey Jr.Iron Man, now as Victor von Doom, better known as the villain Doctor Doom.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere on May 1, 2026, while the sixth film, Avengers: Secret Warswhich will adapt one of the most important arcs in Marvel comics, is still scheduled to hit theaters on May 7, 2027.
