Warning, this article contains spoilers for future episodes of Un si grand soleil. If you don’t want to know anything, don’t read the following!
Alix (Nadia Fossier) is going through a difficult time in Un si grand soleil.
After her art gallery was robbed, Alix was in a particularly delicate financial position. And for good reason, Thushido demands 60,000 euros from him as compensation for the stolen works. An amount that the gallerist clearly does not have and which, unfortunately, he is not ready to raise.
And the Midi-Libre article doesn’t really help matters. In fact, artists now refuse to risk exhibiting in his gallery. It’s enough to seriously put his turnover at risk.
Therefore, the only solution to his problems is to find the author of the theft in order to be reimbursed by insurance.
So when Ludo (Folco Marchi) discovers that artist Nicolas (Frank Borde) has been entrusted with the examination of Japanese works dating back to the 19th century before being robbed two weeks later, Alix’s suspicions are piqued.
While she had been giving him the benefit of the doubt until now, Alix had made some disturbing discoveries that heightened her concerns. Even if the €20,000 in cash found in the curator’s office should have already warned him, it’s a conversation he attends carefully that will finally confirm his suspicions.
In tonight’s episode on France 2, Alix overheard a phone conversation with Nicolas, during which we heard him say: “I succeeded. Fortunately, I managed to collect the cash in time. No, it didn’t cause any problems. I told you, I have it in my pocket“.
Did Nicholas really rob Alix’s gallery?
The answer is no. In the episode that will air on August 19 and is already available on the france.tv platform, Nicolas will be quickly acquitted.
In fact, on the evening of the gallery theft, the curator was taking stock of the museum, and three guards can attest to this.
As for the cash found in his office, it was from his personal account and used to buy old comics. A purchase that Nicholas made in cash at the seller’s request and of which he has written evidence. Therefore there is no doubt that Nicholas is not the author of the Tushido theft.
But then who robbed Alix’s gallery? Answer soon in Un si grand soleil.
