A Better Life Preview: What’s in store for Tuesday, August 20, 2024 Episode 151 [SPOILERS]

Ophel longs for freedom

Ofel and Mateo wake up after a night at the beach. Suddenly, Vanesa and Ulises come, extremely worried. And for good reason, Ophelia hadn’t warned them that she wouldn’t be sleeping at home the day before.

Furious, Vanessa orders Matteo never to approach her daughter again, as she believes she is a bad influence on him. But Ophel defends her lover and tells her mother to leave because she is too old to do what she should.

As Vanessa leaves, Ofel, Ulises and Mateo meet on the terrace of a beach bar. Matteo apologizes to Ulysses for bringing Ophelia into the story. The latter replies that he will have to be more vigilant next time.

Nis faced a difficult choice

At the Masalia residence, Steve and Nisma take their fourth pregnancy test. Again, the latter is positive. Despite everything, the young man is convinced that the results are wrong: “There’s a 99% chance you’re not pregnant”.

He doesn’t realize that his girlfriend could have gotten pregnant while on the pill. Nisma replies that she’s in denial and it’s time to face reality. To be sure, the young woman decides to take a blood test.

The couple goes to the doctor’s office. After completing the blood test, Babette asks the patient several questions, particularly about the presence or absence of symptoms. Nisma replies that her chest has been hurting for a while and she also feels more tired and irritable.

While waiting for the verdict, Nisma and Steve are waiting at the port of Marseille. A young woman panics, wondering what she will do if the test is positive. Suddenly, he receives a message on the phone: this is the result.

Nisma tells Steve that he doesn’t have the courage to watch, so he does it for her. Steve opens the email and discovers that Nissa is indeed six weeks pregnant. The young woman is shocked.

Steve asks his girlfriend not to blame him because it’s her responsibility too, but Nisma tells him that she doesn’t need to support him. He makes her realize that if she wants, she can go. Steve promises not to leave her alone.

Patrick makes an incredible discovery

Vanessa is summoned to the police along with her lawyer, Uli, who is none other than her son. He claims to have called in a private investigator to buy the Le Mistral bar because the Kepler Group has a big project in that area.

Patrick asks more and more questions about the prime suspect, but Ulysses immediately defends her mother. In particular, he gives the police the entire investigative file on Thomas Mars. Then they leave the police station until the interrogation is over.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Gabriel gives Thomas a gift: this is the perfume he wore when they were dating. She explains to her husband that she fell in love with this perfume during her stay in Cadaqués, Spain: “Take me there with the kids.”

This anecdote seems to provoke a reaction from Thomas, who has vague memories of his time there. She tells her husband that she remembers lying in the hammock near him. But unfortunately, it was not Gabriel, but Nicholas, his ex.

At the Mistral police station, Patrick and Ariane inform Meilin that the shooter was less than ten meters away from Thomas. The commissioner requests that all photos and videos be analyzed in this shooting area. Investigators are wondering if the shooter may have missed his target. So will Thomas be a collateral victim?

At the same time, Ross arrives at Mistral to celebrate the good news with Killian. He informs her that he wants to give her a chance to break into the world of MMA. Killian replies that he doesn’t really feel that way at the moment.

But Mario Rossi is trying to change his mind: “You are the champion, you must take your chance”. Against all odds, Killian tells her that it really isn’t. The coach leaves extremely upset.

In the evening, Meilin asks Patrick if he is making progress on the photos and videos taken at the evening organized by City Hall. The police officer informs him that the PTS has managed to recover the photos of Jules. He looks at them more closely and suddenly discovers the unthinkable: Lea Nebu and Ulis Kepler are kissing.
