(2 out of 5 for this Telerama)
But the quality is declining
With an overall average of 3.3 out of 5 from the French press and a 71% positive review for its first season on Rotten Tomatoes (US side), we can say that Umbrella Academy will not leave critics indifferent if we no longer create it. madness
This is one of those series that got support from the audience but not necessarily from the media. Like Sweet Tooth, in 2021. The problem with these two plays? Their quality has been declining over the seasons and it shows in AlloCiné’s ratings as well as Netflix views.
In the case of The Umbrella Academy, add to that the “superhero fatigue” plaguing Hollywood. Although he managed to stand out like Doom Patrol or The Boys, unfortunately it wasn’t enough and it was time to call it quits.
