what are you talking about
Brave Leo, the self-proclaimed “best cop on the Riviera”, learns that his colleague and brother Ludo has been murdered in Hamburg. Although he wants to find out the truth, the boss forces the German super cop to do it.
There is no will to investigate a “lawsuit of shame”, especially when it turns out that it is actually an attractive and highly skilled ink. Forced to team up, these two women with equally explosive and opposite personalities have no idea that Nice is in imminent danger and that they are more connected than they realize…
who is he with
It is very elegant, very shocking and very girl power Which Netflix offers along with Nice Girls (pronounced like the name of the city). Alyssa Taglioni and Steffi Selma play a unique duo of police officers who must respond to the orders of their boss (a little west), played by Noemi Lvovsky. Baptiste Lecaplain and Lucien Jean-Baptiste round out this very heterogeneous cast.
is it worth watching
If, on paper, Nice Girls intrigued us so much, that’s because it was co-written and directed by Noemi Saglio. This romantic comedy enthusiast has previously collaborated with Netflix on Plan Coeur. But we also owe him the character of one of the most emblematic series of recent years: La Connasse. So, knowing her CV, which isn’t catastrophic, we start watching Nice Girls…
What does it promise? Action, humor and a burlesque duo in a postcard setting. From the very first minutes, we understand that this is a film that does not hide its desire to play an American comedy. But unfortunately nothing works.
Alice Talion, bob on top and denim Bermuda shorts, is far from convincing in this register. Neither good nor nasty, he portrays a smooth character who has trouble showing emotion. As for Steffy Tselma, if she touches us at times, some of her action scenes are unfortunately too funny to be taken seriously.
Like Taxi, Nice Girls makes fun of the police (and not only that), featuring broken guns with agents who can’t use computers properly. But where Gérard Pires and other directors managed to raise the bar, it was thanks to the racing car scenes in Marseille, his explosive duet and his iconic lines that still make people laugh today.
With heroines that are hard to relate to and very unsympathetic supporting characters, Nice Girls sadly misses the mark and is not the nice summer comedy we expected it to be…
