Aidan, for example, has literally grown up before our eyes. We knew that at a certain point it would become unsustainable for us to prolong this process. I think ending on Wednesday was the right decision and it closes all these stories and questions that fans have had over the years.”
On the other hand, actor David Castañeda revealed that he would be willing to return for a possible fifth season or a spin-off, despite the definitive end of the series. In a conversation with Screen Rant, he said the following:
“100%. Yes, of course it would. I mean, it would have to be a conversation between Universal and Netflix. But if we had the opportunity to do a fifth or sixth season, I would absolutely not say no. And I think there was talk a while back that they were going to do a movie, that they were going to do a few seasons and that the last one would be a movie, but I don’t know how you can make a movie with seven main characters and tell all the stories in two hours. I think that’s difficult.
