Mercado Livre sent an email to its subscribers this Friday (23) announcing an adjustment of the subscription fee to Meli+, the platform’s benefits service. According to the email, from September the subscription price will increase from R$ 17.99 to R$ 27.99 per month.
According to the message sent to users, the increase in the value of the subscription will be accompanied by new benefits, including continued access to exclusive content, such as series, films and sports through Disney+, as well as free shipping on many purchases.
The company also promises that subscribers will be able to take advantage of new opportunities to save on purchases and payments made on the platform.
The statement suggests that the price adjustment is tied to the addition of these new benefits, although it does not specify what new features or services will be included in Meli+. Currently, Meli+ offers a number of benefits, such as free shipping on eligible purchases and, as the biggest benefit, access to Disney+.
Users who wish to manage or cancel their subscriptions can do so directly through the Mercado Livre website, where they can also check out all the benefits the service offers.
