Jennifer Lee, director of the first two films, shares details about the creative process and release date of ‘Frozen 3’
The two new sequels in the franchise Frozenare being developed at the same time, according to the filmmakerJennifer Leewho directed the first two films. In an interview with FandangoJennifer explained that the team is divided between the two projects. The premiere date for the new sequel was also revealed: November 27, 2027.
We are working in a room where half is focused on Frozen 3 and the other half is in Frozen 4we are in the middle of the process”, said the director.
Jennifer Lee further shared that the development process is in the early stages.
We’re very early on, okay? But what we’re announcing today is that Frozen 3will be released on November 27, 2027. We are developingFrozen 3 and Frozen 4 at the same time, and I had never done that before,” said the director.
Jennifer left fans curious by mentioning that the new sequels will raise many questions about the protagonist’s past:
We showed a slide that said we have a lot of questions. One of them was: Who gave Elsa her powers? Another question was: what happened to the ones mentioned today? We put a lot of questions there that will be answered.”
The previous films, Frozen 1 and Frozen 2are now available at Disney+. The new sequels promise to further expand the Arendelle universe.
