Attention! The following contains spoilers for the Older brother live streaming starting Sunday 10 July. Read at your own risk!
Older brother Season 24 is underway and Houseguests are finally in the middle of their first full week of competition. On Thursday, one of the 16 Houseguests will return home and the fans waiting for live streams revealing the winners of the veto and more Before the televised episodes, we want to know who was nominated and who won the veto ceremony. Michael Bruner and Terrance Higgins are currently on the block, thanks to HOH Daniel Durston and fought the veto in hopes of surviving another week.
The ceremony is an opportunity for any contestant to take control of their own destiny or encourage someone else to take them off the bat. Michael, Terrance and Daniel competed alongside Indy Santos, Ameerah Jones and Matt Turner. Only one could win, so who took the first veto collar of season 24? We talk about it below and discuss whether it will be used or not.
Michael won the veto in the first week
Michael ended up winning the veto and essentially saving her game. Socially, she had an awkward start at home and, as a result, became an easy target for eviction in Daniel’s eyes. Now, like Derek Xiao (which is presumably join fantastic race ) in season 23, he won and avoided what would otherwise have been a unanimous vote for his week 1 dismissal.
Will Michael use the veto right?
Michele is a Older brother superfan, to the point where he intentionally made sure he wasn’t the first person in his group to enter the house. It seems that his superstition worked in his favor, as he won his decisive veto, and I would be absolutely shocked if he didn’t use it to get out of the block. I’m sure Daniel could try to dissuade him, but he’s already made contingency plans for when Michael uses it.
Taylor will likely be the replacement candidate.
Daniel is unable to name Backstage Boss or pass holders, leaving him limited options for another candidate. Either way, he seems to be fine with naming Taylor Hale, who has drawn the ire of several Houseguests in the game (including the new women’s alliance ). It’s not entirely clear what Taylor did to earn this, and many fans think it’s unwarranted. It wouldn’t be the first time a Houseguest has faced unfair criticism and isolation early in the game, though that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s justified.
If it makes you feel better Older brother fans who have pity on Taylor, we still don’t know how the Backstage Pass holders will turn out, one of the many great revelations of season 24, it will have an impact on the night of the eviction. Taylor could end up in the neighborhood with the house and be highly dependent on coming home. But as Julie Chen Moonves puts it, “Expect the unexpected.
Older brother aired on CBS (opens in a new tab) Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET and Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. Paramount + subscribers You can still tune in to live streams to see the house and any conversations that don’t make it to the finished episodes.
