to remember
The alien is already rocking! The horror franchise already has to give up its No. 1 spot to one of the summer hits, Deadpool and Wolverine. The superhero movie takes back the pole position and Alien descends on the second tier.
“With $577.2 million in the U.S., The Infernal Duet ranks sixth among the MCU’s biggest hits in the U.S., behind The Avengers (2012) first installment’s $623.3 million. Worldwide, it grossed $1.211 billion, the studio’s eighth biggest hit.“- our colleagues clarify Boxoffice Pro. Deadpool widens the gap with Jamais plus who remains in 3rd place.
Three new products in the top 10
Blink Twice, The Forge and The Crow made the top 10. Blink Twice, the first feature film directed by Zoe Kravitz, is #4 with a very honest score. However, it was a disappointment for The Crow, only finishing at No. 8 and earning $4.6 million. Given the franchise’s notoriety, hopes were undoubtedly higher.
The 3rd new function is called Forge And there’s still no French release date. This drama is directed by Alex Kendrick.
Despicable Me 4 and Vice Versa 2, the other summer hits, came in at No. 9 and No. 10 this weekend, proving the big success of these two animated films.
