A continuation of the popular series One Tree Hillis under development in Netflixaccording to information from Variety. The project will be produced by Warner Bros. Television, the studio responsible for the original series.

The new series will feature the return of Sophia Bush and Hilary Burtonwho are set to reprise their iconic roles. Danneel Ackles is also in negotiations to return to the cast. However, there is still no information about the participation of other members of the original cast.

One Tree Hill is a drama series that aired for nine seasons, from 2003 to 2012. Set in the fictional town of Tree Hill, North Carolina, the plot revolves around the rivalry between half-brothers Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), both basketball players who face personal and family challenges. The series explores themes of friendship, love, and the choices made during adolescence and early adulthood. In addition to Murray and Lafferty, the cast included Bethany Joy Lenz, Paul Johansson and Lee Norris.

In addition to acting, Sophia, Hilarie and Danneel Ackles will serve as executive producers on the new project. Danneel will lead the production through her company, Chaos Machine, along with her husband, Jensen Ackles.
