The Outer Banks is facing the same fate as a major Netflix series
This is a strategy used by all of Netflix’s major series: their broadcasts are split into two parts. A way for the platform to retain its subscribers from one month to the next. In the case of Outer Banks, the first round of episodes will be posted online on October 10th, with the second on November 7th. Fans will have to wait almost two years between seasons 3 and 4 and won’t be able to watch the full…
Indeed, if this strategy benefits Netflix, fans are often unhappy about it. For example, in the case of Emile in Paris, the episodes were so short (only thirty minutes) that they ended up having very little to sink their teeth into. In the case of Outer Banks, the platform hasn’t revealed how many episodes each installment will consist of, but we imagine both will have five.
