National films compete for the title at the Hollywood awards
THE Brazilian Academy of Cinema announced the 12 films selected to compete for the position of representing Brazil in the Oscar 2025. These feature films are competing for a nomination in the category ofBest International Film.
The commission, led by the actress and director Barbara Peacewill select six of the 12 films on September 16. The chosen one to represent Brazil at the Oscars will be announced on September 23.
Among the selected films is I’m Still Hereof Walter Salleswhich received acclaim at the Venice Film Festival. Other notable titles include: Half of Usof Flavio Botelhoand Motel Destinoof Karim Ainouz.
