A Minecraft Movie, Starring Jason Momoa, Gets First Preview

Adaptation of the successful game also features Jack Black (School of Rock), Emma Myers (Wednesday) and Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple) in the cast

Warner Bros. Pictures released, this Wednesday (4), a first preview of A Minecraft Moviea film adaptation of the hit game starring Jason Momoa (Aquaman 2: The Lost Empire), which hits theaters in 2025.

Without revealing details about the plot of the novelty, the teaser shows a group of humans arriving in the checkered world of Minecraft. “Whatever you can dream here, you can do”says Momoa’s character about the infinite possibilities of this new universe. Then, Jack Black (School of Rock) appears to the group, introducing himself as Steve, one of the main characters in the game. Watch:

In addition to Jason Momoa and Jack Black, A Minecraft Movie still has Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus), Emma Myers (Wandinha),Danielle Brooks (Orange Is The New Black) and Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Fight for Justice) in the cast.

When does it premiere? A Minecraft Movie?

A Minecraft Movie is directed by Jared Hessof Napoleon Dynamite (2004), based on the script by Chris Bowman (The Worst Years of My Life) and Hubbel Palmer (Criminal Masterminds). In the United States, the novelty is scheduled to premiere on April 4, 2025, but a release date has not yet been confirmed in Brazilian theaters.
