The striker was suffering from a fractured tibia in his right leg and also played sacrifice games
Vasco striker Adson underwent surgery this Wednesday to correct a fracture of the tibia in his right leg. After the surgery he is doing well and will begin rehabilitation in the coming days.
According to Vasco’s medical office, Adson is expected to be out 10 to 12 weeks. He will then be available in mid-November, during the final stretch of the season.
Initially he and the club opted for conservative treatment, but the process is longer and the chances of a complete recovery are less. Since he felt a lot of pain in that area, the player decided to undergo surgery.
In a press conference after a match in the Brazilian championship, Vasco’s coach Rafael Paiva revealed that the striker played some games as a sacrifice. However, he was excluded from the first match of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil, against Atletico-PR, in São Januário.
