Netflix: After Dahmer, this TV series adapted from the story of a terrifying news story will captivate subscribers!

After the horrors of Jeffrey Dahmer, the anthology Monsters returns to us with a new monstrous story. The new season of the Netflix series, dedicated to the most famous American killers, will this time repeat the crimes of brothers Lyle and Eric Menendez.

Two brothers were sentenced to life imprisonment in 1993 for the murder of their parents. The motive for this murder is still unclear today: was it revenge for physical and sexual abuse by his father during his childhood? Or wanting to inherit a family fortune estimated at $14 million?

News that fascinated the American public

What could have been a perfect assassination ended up being a fiasco. The Menendez brothers attracted the attention of the police. The discovery of the confessions filmed by a psychoanalyst led to their arrest, and their trial was a huge success when it was broadcast live on American television.

Nicolas Chavez and Cooper Koch were cast as Lyle and Eric Menendez. The cast also sees Javier Bardem lending his chops to Jose Menendez, while his wife Kitty Menendez is played by Chloe Sevigny. Like the first season, the series is once again produced by Ryan Murphy (American Crime Story).

10 episodes of the new season of the anthology Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menéndez can be seen from September 19 exclusively on Netflix.
