As a reminder to Twilight fans, the animated series for teenagers inspired by the vampire franchise has found a broadcast home and it will be Netflix. This fictional project, announced last year, did not really excite all fans of the saga, which brought Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to the fore.

This Twilight animated series for Netflix is an adaptation of the novel midnight sun By Stephenie Meyer, Posted in 2020. The book is a reverse shot of the first volume of the literary saga, kidnappingwhich featured Bella Swan, a human, and Edward Cullen, a vampire, the beginnings of an impossible love story from Bella’s point of view.
Midnight Sun tells the same story, but from Edward’s point of view, with deeper access to his thoughts, his thoughts, as well as the thoughts of his family and supporting characters.
It is screenwriter Sinead Daly, who worked on Tell Me Lies, The Walking Dead: World Beyond and Raised by Wolves, who will write and produce this adaptation of this spin-off novel.
It should be noted that Robert Pattinson inspired the then-unfinished manuscript of Midnight Sun to play Edward in the first film of the saga, because Stephenie Meyer gave it to him. He will be the executive producer of the animated series project.
There is no word yet on the casting of Edward and Bella’s characters, but it would be very surprising if Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reprise their roles. We also don’t know if the characters will have the looks of the actors or if the art team will go with a completely new look.
In any case, this project will be closely watched by fans of the Twilight saga, which still remains the heart of the entire generation, and we don’t know if this animated series will appeal to everyone.
