The company says the situation is back to normal; the train had to be emptied at São Bento station and taken to the yard
Passengers have reported problems on Line 1-Blue of the Sao Paulo Metro on the morning of this Wednesday, 11. According to the company, a train broke down at the Station Saint Benedictaround 8am. As a result, trains were running at reduced speed and making longer stops at stations. The company reports that the situation has returned to normal.
Due to the fault, users of the 2-Green and 3-Red lines also suffered from the reduction in train speed.
“The train had to be emptied and taken to Pátio do Jabaquara where it will undergo maintenance. Metro regrets the inconvenience caused,” the state transport company said.
Also, earlier, around 7 am, a train headed to Palmeiras-Barra Funda, on Line 3-Red, had difficulty closing a door, which jammed, at Carrão-Assaí Atacadista Station and remained stuck for several minutes.
“The door was closed and the train continued its journey. Shortly thereafter, around 7:45 a.m., a car had to be emptied at Tatuapé station, also due to the jammed door,” Metro said. The fault has already been fixed and operations have since returned to normal, according to the company.
