Co-written by Brady Corbett and Mona Fastvold, Brutalist follows Laszlo Toth, a Hungarian-born Jewish architect, over three decades. With an impressive running time of 3 hours and 35 minutes, the film was shot in 70mm, requiring considerable organization for screening. During the world premiere in Venice, the organizers had to travel with 26 reels of film, the total weight of which was 136 kilograms.
