Find an original idea
Along with his two co-screenwriters, Guy Laurent and Marc de Chevron, the filmmaker absolutely wanted to get his wits right and find an original idea.

Elections by children!
The president of Ducobu, who seems to be a family with children from the age of 8, chose an unusual topic for such a feature film: elections! Here we are talking about the election of delegates of the Saint-Potash class. The film will be released in 2022, a double election year: is this a coincidence?
“To tell you the truth, we were supposed to release in the beginning of April, in the middle of the presidential campaign, then the film was postponed until July, after the legislative elections.
You could say we missed the boat, but I believe that this Saint-Potash election is not the main driving force of the film: it is certainly an event for Doukobu and his comrades, but the heart of the film remains grounded. About children’s friendship, their jokes and relationships with adults”– says Eli Semun.
The new face of DUCOBU
Gabin Tomasino replaces Matthias Gross in the yellow and black sweater of Student Dukobu. This mischievous child knows how to make children laugh with his antics, antics and sickly laziness, so many aspects of his personality make him very endearing.
