Rated 4.1 out of 5, this is the best action movie of the year! However, upon his release, he is unfairly shunned

Touted to be ‘cool’ and ‘ultra-violent’, the Indian action film Kill has just hit our theatres. In the feature film banned from cinemas under 16s, which combines John Wick, Bullet Train, The Raid and Old Boy, a train in New Delhi is attacked by a gang of thieves. What they don’t know is that there is someone much more powerful than them on board. When they attack the woman they love, Amrit, a member of the special forces, retaliates with merciless vengeance.

The ability to find out which action movie is in theaters in 2024 is best rated by AlloCiné viewers.

Note that the following are expected in theaters before the end of the year: Weekend in Taipei, The Assassin, High Risk Flight, Gladiator II, Venom: The Last Dance and Kraven The Hunter.

What is the best action movie of the year?

And this is Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga, which is an action movie released in theaters in 2024, with the best ratings from AlloCiné viewers, averaging 4.1 out of 5 stars for 6,690 ratings and 683 reviews.

George Miller’s film, which hit theaters last May, is a prequel to Fury Road that focuses on the youth of Empress Furiosa. If Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron played the character in Fury Road, the South African actress should have given way to a young Anna Taylor-Joy in this film, set years ago.

Banned for children under 12 when it was released, Furiosa is set in a decadent world. Young Furiosa is torn from the green earth and captured by a horde of bikers led by the monstrous Dementus. As she tries to survive the desolation, the immortal Joe, and find her way home, Furiosa has only one obsession: revenge. Anya Taylor-Joy stars in the film alongside Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, young Alila Brown (Furiosa Child), Nathan Jones and Angus Sampson.

And if Charlize Theron preferred a sequel to a prequel, the actress said as recently as last July that the film was “incredible and brilliant.” And it seems viewers agree with him.

Thus, Internet user Alolfer writes: “GGeorge Miller does not know the term: “suite too many”. Once again, George Miller delivers a lesson in action cinema in a completely different style than Fury Road. 5 Madmax movies: 5 different styles. The level of creativity of this director is incredible. Visually, it’s still stratospheric. A compelling acting duo and this is the result: a lesson in cinema.”

For RedArrow from Club AlloCiné: ” Undefeated and unique in his own right, George Miller once again takes a hit in a way rarely seen on the big screen, reinventing the character of Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron in the previous film, to tell her genesis in a raging, demented revenge epic. , immortal, and in which the essential pillars of the desert will merge with the scent of blood, metal, sweat and dirt. And the result is once again incredible, making mythical figures their models in an ever-growing bestiary of this barbaric future, where the broken fate of a little girl interferes with everyone’s desperate search for a dreamy Garden of Eden. We come out stunned, still hearing the blast of the sandstorm in the distance, the roaring engines of all kinds of metal frames, the laughter of their degenerate owners, the self-centered diagrams of Chris “Demented” Hemsworth, becoming an enemy that must be shot down in order to be freed. An agony that could no longer be eased, or the stern breathing of the immortal Joe Master of his citadel in the midst of his innate progeny. Beyond her words, rare but essential, what lingers in our minds above all else is the look—hell, the look—of Anna “Furiosa” Taylor Joy, possessed by the flames of anger and her heroine’s determination! The sparks of hope that will be extinguished there.”

For Imc-3, Furiosa is “Grand. A worthy successor to one of the best films of the previous decade: “Mad Max Fury Road”. Very well paced, very rich, many things reminiscent of the original trilogy (including (and this will be my complaint) very bold ’80s-type writing. It’s beautiful, busy, very daring. A spectacular film.”

Grégouch M notes:Amazing movie! Crazy shots, epic scenes. I was wondering how to get above the fury road and here is the answer. There is no limit to George Miller’s boundless imagination and talent. Incredible casting not to spoil the fun.”

15-minute action scene!

It has to be said that Furiosa: A Mag Max Saga has one of the craziest action scenes ever! Lasting 15 minutes, the Stowaway scene alone took 2.5 months to shoot and 200 stuntmen.

Producer Doug Mitchell explained on AlloCiné last May:We have 260 stuntmen working on stunts that make up 15 minutes of the film. But it took us 80 days to shoot that scene. And among all this is the bad weather in Australia. We had the worst period of our lives. And then people got sick with covid and we had to quarantine. In my opinion, the risks were very, very high. The challenges have been great, but our commitment is to make sure that it is absolutely and meticulously planned and that there are enough safety measures in place to ensure that no one gets hurt.”

If Furiosa is a critical success, rank it tomato meter 90%, with an average press rating of 4 out of 5 on AlloCiné and an average audience rating of 4.1, the feature film did not perform as expected at the box office. With an estimated budget of $168 million, George Miller’s film only made $172 million at the international box office.

Disappointing figures that will not allow the Australian director to engage in his spin-off project centered on the character of Tom Hardy. George Miller did indeed have Mad Max: The Wasteland planned, which would follow Max’s journey a year before the events of Fury Road. But while promoting The Bikeriders, Tom Hardy himself said he didn’t think the movie would ever get made.

Furiosa will be available for purchase on VOD on September 19th and to rent from October 2nd, the same date that DVD, Blu-Ray… will also be released.
