The director Sam Taylor-Johnson, in charge of carrying out ’50 shades of Grey’, will be the one who will sit in the directing chair. The script has been written by Matt Greenhalgh and the project is now moving fast after Taylor-Johnson tackled the film. Studiocanal is producing with Alison Owen and Debra Hayward alongside Tracey Seaward.

        At the moment nothing more has been said about how they will delve into the history of the singer, but what is expected is that the film will take a look at the career, but also at the personal life of Winehouse, who began as a jazz singer. budding across North London before becoming a Grammy-winning musical superstar with hits like ‘Rehab’ and ‘Back To Black’.
