The Boys season 3: Did this revelation in the last episode make Homelander more attractive?

Please note, the following details are the plot of the final episode of The Boys Season 3 available on Amazon Prime Video. If you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want to know anything about its content, I suggest you stop reading this article now.

Everyone would agree that Homelander, despite his status as the leader of the superhero team Seven, is a dangerous sociopath. The last episode of the third part of The Boys gave us important information about the past of the latter and especially about his origin.

We know: Homelander is a test-tube baby created by Vought Laboratories from Soldier Boy’s DNA. The muse of the superhero team Payback, a veteran of the Second World War and a fervent fighter of the Soviet enemy, the latter was at least replaced in the 80s by his “son” Homelander, who was created by Wutti’s orders to be more obedient.

Episode 8 of the third season also revealed the origin of Homelander’s famous saying: “You are real heroes” (“You are the real heroes”). The expression comes from a shout of encouragement given by a boy soldier in a propaganda film made during the war against the Nazis. Homolander’s favorite trick that Vought tells him is therefore copied/pasted from a sentence given to him by the Soldier Boys.

Robbed of the secret that has kept him hidden all these years, Homelander has undoubtedly reached a tipping point, as evidenced by his brutal murder of Black Noir, still considered his oldest friend. Like everyone else, the latter never saw fit to tell her the truth about her connections with the boy soldier.

Therefore, it is a homeland more dangerous than ever that we find in the fourth season of The Boys, officially ordered a few weeks ago by Amazon Prime Video!
