David Leitch’s action film Bullet Train airs tonight on TF1. Banned for under-12s when it hit theaters, the feature film follows Ladybug (Brad Pitt), a down-on-his-luck assassin who is especially determined to complete his new mission in peace after too many things go off the rails. But fate has decided otherwise and brings him to the world’s fastest train with powerful opponents who have one thing in common, but radically different interests… Then he must try to get off the train.
The feature marks the eighth collaboration between the director and former stuntman David Leitch and Brad Pitt. The two first worked together on Fight Club (1999), where Leitch performed stunts for the actor. They then teamed up several times in movies like Ocean’s Eleven, Spy Game and Troy. In 2018, Leitch even gave Pitt a cameo in Deadpool 2.
With this crazy action flick airing on TF1, we’ve been keeping an eye on Brad Pitt’s projects. When will we see the 60-year-old actor on screen?
Brad Pitt / George Clooney: 6th!
We won’t have to wait long until we see Brad Pitt on screen again, as the actor will appear in the thriller Wolfs by John Watts (who we owe the Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland) on AppleTV+ on September 27th.
The feature film marks his sixth collaboration with co-star George Clooney Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Confessions of a Dangerous Man (in which Pitt makes a cameo) (2002), Ocean’s Twelve (2004), Ocean’s 13 (2007) and Burn After Reading (2008). Wolves also stars Amy Ryan and Austin Abrams (Euphoria).
This thriller tells the story of how two lone wolves – and crime scene cleaners – find themselves on the same mission. A film full of black humor in which two stars play the competitive card to the fullest. The Wolffs were also seen at the recent Venice Film Festival.
The film was originally expected to open in French cinemas on September 18; Finally, Sony Pictures, which was supposed to distribute the work in our regions in partnership with Apple, announced that Wolfs will not be released in French cinemas. The feature film will air live on AppleTV+ starting September 27.
The film has not even been released yet and a sequel is already planned. Last August, the site term announced that director Jon Watts was set to return for Wolfs 2, which will again be directed by Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
Thus confirming Clooney’s statement in December 2023:We’re already talking about a sequel to this movie I did with Brad Pitt and John Watts. It was a great experience and John Watts is an incredibly talented guy, funny and passionate about what he does. We had a blast and saw results. It’s a film that exceeded our expectations and it was great to work with Brad again. We had a lot of fun.”.
