Discover the essential services that will operate in Porto Alegre during the September 20th holidays

156+POA – 24-hour service, every day of the week and holidays, for requests for services such as tree pruning, public lighting, road maintenance, waste collection, sewerage, road services, water, sanitary sewerage, vandalism reports.

Ceic-POA – The Integrated Services Coordination Center (Ceic-POA) is operational 24 hours a day. Video surveillance monitors urban mobility and public safety, in addition to health services and urban cleaning. The Ceic also works to respond to risk and emergency situations.

Municipal Guard – The teams will be in parks and squares. Fixed and motorized surveillance serves restrooms, secretariats and municipal buildings. The GM Operations Center is available 24 hours a day at numbers 153 and 156.

Urban cleaning – The Municipal Department of Urban Cleaning (DMLU) will normally handle all collections during the holidays: household, selective and public waste. The operational sections operate in shifts, with teams from 7:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:00. The DMLU responds to the telephone number 156.

Traffic and transport – The Public Transport and Circulation Company (EPTC) informs that on Friday, September 20, public transport will operate on a holiday schedule. The updated timetables are available on the EPTC website. To plan their trips, passengers can also consult the updated timetables and itineraries of public transport, in real time, on the GPS function of the TRI Card app or on the CittaMobi and Moovit apps, available for iOS and Android smartphones. The citizen service teams 156 or 118 and the inspection teams remain available 24 hours a day.

Health – Health services will be open on holidays this Friday 20th and on the weekends of 21st and 22nd. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the José Mauro Ceratti Lopes and Bom Jesus health facilities will be open, while only on Saturday will the health services be open. The Chácara da Fumaça and Conceição units will also be open. They are all open from 10am to 7pm and offer medical, nursing and vaccination services.

SMS has a stand at Campamento Farroupilha to provide assistance and guidance to the public. The activities will end on Sunday 22nd at Parque Maurício Sirotsky Sobrinho (Parque Harmonia). Access is through sector A, number 1 on the map (Otavio Francisco Caruso da Rocha street, near TRF). Check the service calendar.

Water, sewerage and drainage – Dmae fulfills requests for registration of water leaks, sewer and storm sewage overflows and other operational services through System 156 (by phone, through option 2, and also through the 156+POA application). The in-person service, regarding the commercial area, will resume on Monday 23rd at the five stations. Environment – The inspection team of the Municipal Secretariat for the Environment, Urban Planning and Sustainability (Smamus) remains on duty and responds to emergencies at 156 +POA.

Tree Management – The tree management team of the Municipal Department of Urban Services (SMSurb) works on call and responds to emergency requests via the 156+POA app and by phone at 156.

Public lighting – The IPSul technical team responds to requests through the 156 application, through the Ilumina POA application and also through the dealer’s website.

Public Market – Stalls and restaurants open this Friday 20th from 7:30 to 19:00. Saturday 21st the Market remains open until 18:00.
