Eneva announced on Thursday that it has signed a flexible contract with Termopernambuco, a plant operated by Neoenergia, for the supply of natural gas between October and the end of the first half of 2026.
The company did not reveal the financial details of the contract, signed on August 7 and communicated to the market by Eneva last Thursday.
Among the conditions there is the possibility for Termopernambuco to request up to 2.4 million cubic meters of natural gas from Eneva.
“The supply of natural gas will be carried out starting from LNG imported at Hub Sergipe, through the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit, which has a regasification capacity of up to 21 million cubic meters per day of natural gas and an injection capacity up to 14 million cubic meters per day of natural gas in the integrated network,” Eneva said.
The company specifies that the contract provides for two installments: a fixed one, to remunerate the capacity reserve and guarantee the availability of gas for Termopernambuco, and a variable one, linked to the price index of liquefied natural gas (LNG) LNG Japan/Korea Marker (Platts), to pay for the gas that will be requested by the plant in the event of dispatching.
Eneva has the exclusivity in the supply of gas to service the plants by the National Electricity System Operator (ONS) during the contract.
