Sydney Sweeney joins the cast of Madame Web, along with Dakota Johnson and Emma Roberts
Sydney Sweeney already started filming Madame Webspin-off of Spider man, and revealed that she is undergoing intense training to prepare for her character. For now, there is not much information about the film, just some names of the cast, such as Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of grey) and Emma Roberts (American Horror Story).
Despite delivering incredible performances in euphoria (2019) and The White Lotus (2021), Sweeney revealed that he still has a lot to learn at Marvel. “I am currently filming Madame Web,” I told Variety. “And I can’t say much about my character, but I’m really excited. It’s my first movie Marvel. So it’s been a lot of fun, there’s been a lot of training and preparation to get into it.”
Previously, the actress revealed that she was reading several comics to learn more about the story. “I ordered a bunch of comics,” she also told Variety. “There’s a lot to learn. I’ve always been a big fan of the movies from Marvel and gives Sony. I grew up watching them and been swallowed up by their world my entire life, so being able to participate in that is an amazing thing.”
While the characters are not revealed, fans have cast the actress as Black cat or Gwen Stacy. As for connections to other films in the MCUfor now, the only trilogy to have a connection with the Sony it’s from Spider man in Tom Hollandbut there is no confirmation if he may appear in other films besides the ones he stars in.

Madame Web is a character from the universe of Spider man. The character must undergo some changes for the adaptation, as she is portrayed as an elderly woman with myasthenia gravis, who lives connected in a structure that resembles a spider’s web and has psychic powers.
