Its open ending seems to announce a sequel. Action comedy Wolfs, directed by John Watts (Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland), featuring two crime scene cleaners – George Clooney and Brad Pitt – who are assigned to work on the same case.
The final scene of the film sees the two characters sharing breakfast before they return to their single lives. The restaurant empties out and then they realize that the mission was just a plan to get them together to “clean up”. They make a promise to each other: if they survive this new attack, they will reveal their names to each other.
The ending pays homage to the iconic 60s film!
The final shot is an homage to the Western Butch Cassidy and the Kid, which sees the two titular heroes (played by Robert Redford and Paul Newman) lose a duel against hordes of enemies.

Even before the film aired on AppleTV+, the project for a sequel to the platform began. in the given interview termJon Watts admitted that he wrote and directed Wolves as a standalone film, but is still open to the idea of a sequel: “It was a lot of fun to do, so I’ll let the audience decide if they want to continue.
The sequel is ready!
The direct-to-streaming (rather than theatrical, as originally planned) release disappointed the director and the two lead actors. But the continuation of wolves still seems relevant!
“We can’t wait for fans to experience the film as we begin work on the sequel with John.” said Matt Dentler, president of Apple Original Films studio, in a press release.
It remains to be seen whether this second part will actually be a sequel or a prequel, and whether the two main actors – as well as the producers – will agree to return.
